Before we moved to Portugal we lived in Salisbury in a lovely house by a river. It was like something out of Wind in the Willows. One night I decided to brave the December cold and go out in the light of a full moon and take some photos of the river.
Often there is beauty to be found in unexpected places and on this occasion, when most people were tucked up in bed or watching rubbish on television, I had an extraordinary hour seeing things that will stay with me forever.
Amy the husky got very excited about a pair of swans who were hissing at her like snakes.
